As per AICTE norms, the ED Cell should meet on a quarterly basis or at least once in a semester.
Functions of ED Cell:
- Organizing Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps and Development Programmes
- Arranging industrial visits for prospective entrepreneurs
- Preparing proposals for government grants to promote entrepreneurship on campus
- Guiding students in project reports, approvals, loans, and technical support systems
- Documenting activities for quality improvement and acting as a nodal agency for best practices
- Providing facilities like testing, calibration, design, tool room, pilot plant, and IPR support
- Offering industry exposure to students
- Guiding students about government schemes supporting entrepreneurship
- Creating an environment for self-employment through training programs
- Developing management skills for non-corporate and small-scale sectors
- Promoting employment opportunities through skill development
